The company owner, John E. Bassett, has a long and varied career in the construction industry. Having attended Midlands Technical College in South Carolina and Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, he has concentrations in both design and construction.

John Bassett spent many years during his early career building various projects across the nation in areas such as West Point Military Academy, Ellsworth Air Force Base South Dakota, Minot Air Force Base North Dakota, Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, Fort Lewis Washington, Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Paris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Fort Bliss Texas, Fort Ord California, White Sands New Mexico, Quantico Marine Base, and several GSA contracts throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. John also spent several years in Boone North Carolina, building various residential and commercial projects, thus giving him a wide base of experience and knowledge to pull from.

John Bassett, along with his wife Lynn Bassett started the company in February of 2007. In the fall of 2007, Lynn left her full time position at Chowan Hospital to become the full time Controller, Human Resource Officer, and Corporate Secretary. In the fall of 2008, Lynn became co-owner of the company. The team continues to look positively at the future as the company shows steady growth. They have two children, Jonathan Bassett and Julianna Bassett, both of whom already show an interest in working in the family business.
